Setting up for success!
We have always known that Corrimal High School produces quality fruit and vegetables from our gardens but now we have a ribbon to prove it. The addition of a vertical garden in agriculture donated by the Royal Agricultural Society gave us the opportunity to enter our produce in Nowra show on the 10th and 11th of February. We were entered in the School Vertical Garden category and had to supply a box of produce containing one crop from the vertical garden and at least five other edible crops. Our box contained chillies, brown and potato onions, purple garlic, corn, marrow, tomatoes, zucchini tromboncino and tomatillos. Additionally, we had to submit a presentation on how Corrimal High School supports sustainable agriculture. Our efforts were rewarded and now our entry will proceed to the Royal Easter Show which we will, of course, have to attend. Thanks to Darren for delivering the produce box and Year 9/10 Agriculture Class for their hard work so far this year.
