Letting excellence shine at the 2015 Illawarra Schools Excellence in Vocational Education and Training (VET) Awards.

Students often receive acknowledgement for the amazing and outstanding work they do from within the school, however, last night several students were recognised for their outstanding efforts at the Regional VET Awards.

Ryan Foster (Information and Digital Technology), Jordan Laird (Information and Digital Technology) and Jarrod Latimer-Charles (Construction) were among a range of students recognised and rewarded for their high standard and outstanding efforts in Vocation Education and Training course. All three students received a Merit Award along with recognition from fellow educators, training organisations and sponsoring business.

A big congratulations must go to Ryan Foster who not only received the Merit Award but also received the Information and Digital Technology Student of the Year 2015. An amazing achievement and well deserved for work and commitment not just in the study of the IDT course, but also in the willingness and application of his studies within the school and in the wider community.

Well done to all students who received nominations. We know that you are all amazing and will continue to demonstrate your outstanding capabilities and great work attitude as you leave school and progress into a new chapter of your life story.
