Building a connection...

On Wednesday the 1st November, Corrimal High School and artists Lani Balzan and Aunty May officially opened the local and cultural narrative piece which students have been designing over the last term. Lani, Aunty May and a small group of students worked collaboratively to create an outstanding mural depicting Birri Birri (Whale) using the ocean and sunset in the background. The piece was unveiled to staff, students and community during a small luncheon for those who contributed to the final artwork.

Staff, students and community members had the opportunity to add their hand print to the final painting representing our coming together and the integral role all three groups have in education.
