On the 26thof June, 17 students were involved in The Happiness Cycle – a program that encourages youth fitness. This year, students from Years 9, 10 and 11 were offered the chance to register and attend the day's activities at the Snake Pit in West Wollongong. While there the students would be involved in building and servicing a pushbike with the aim of the day – fitness by biking. The students performed a range of tasks on the day, which included the construction of a pushbike to take home. This bike was provided by Coca Cola in conjunction with Youth Services and the Bike Association. Students who were in attendance behaved marvellously, displaying great enthusiasm and thanks for the opportunity. The event was organised by Mr J Foster (Year 9 Adviser) as a way to encourage the uptake of cycling as a leisure and fitness activity.
