Positive Behaviour for Learning

Corrimal High School is involved in an initiative called the Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) program and has identified three core values for its main focus. These three values are safety, respect and responsibility.  The program was successfully launched late in 2009, with the St. George Dragons in attendance as they support the regional implementation of the initiative.  The PBL process aims to:

  • Develop school-wide VALUES and behaviour expectations
  • Develop lesson plans and teach expectations of behaviour – for each school setting
  • Develop and post expectations visually throughout the school
  • Embed values and expectations throughout school community
  • Reinforce expected behaviours
  • Develop teacher Skills - positive correction & active supervision
